An exciting start-up label, Blue Élan Records, has quickly grown to a roster of 25 artists spanning genres from Americana, alternative pop, rock, and legacy acts. Niels Schroeter serves as the label's General Manager, working closely with artists in an A&R capacity and oversees the project management team.
San Diego's legendary concert club recently launched a live music label. NCS has been brought on to work in a GM capacity, setting up the infrastructure and overseeing all aspects of the company's releases, including contract negotiation, marketing, and royalty management. To date, the label has released over 80 albums, including those by Donavon Frankenreiter, The Jayhawks, Mick Fleetwood, Cowboy Junkies, and Ann Wilson of Heart.

Niels and Janiva began working together in 2014 on the release of her critically-acclaimed album, Original. Her Blue Élan Records debut, Love Wins Again, garnered Magness her first Grammy Award nomination. This album was followed up by LP and EP releases in 2018, both of which received Blues Music Award nominations (she's won seven to-date). Janiva's next record for Blue Élan is a full-length tribute to John Fogerty which will be out September 13, 2019.
The history between Jesse Dayton and Niels dates back to the early 2000's when Jesse's band, Road Kings, was signed to Surfdog Records. The two reunited in 2015 as Jesse was recording songs for what would become his Blue Élan Records debut, The Revealer. A strategy of intense touring and continual content release has raised Dayton's profile immensely. Now a staple on SiriusXM's Outlaw Country channel and playing 150 - 200 shows per year, Jesse has expanded his base beyond the U.S., having toured Europe four times over the last 18 months with plans for breaking Australia coming together for 2020.
Hailing from Austin, TX by way of rural Louisiana, Rod Melancon is a southern songwriter and storyteller in the oral tradition of Cormac McCarthy and Larry Brown. Recently featured on NPR's All Things Considered, Rod regularly shows up on the pages of Rolling Stone Country, the airwaves of SiriusXM's Outlaw Country channel, and even secured a song placement in a national Toyota commercial. Over the past year-and-a-half, he's been touring the U.S. and Europe, honing his live show and growing a dedicated fan base.
A self-taught multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and vocalist, Car Astor came out of the gate with her first Blue Élan single and video, "Potions," that racked up 7,000,000 views on YouTube and over a 1,000,000 streams. Since then she's released an EP and three singles from her forthcoming debut full-length due out in 2020. An outspoken member of the LGBTQ community, Car is booked on a number of Pride events this summer.
